Benefit: An Example of Sincerity in the Daʿwah of Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb’s mentions in his letter to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Suwaydī (one of the scholars of Iraq at that time): I convey to you that I am a follower and not an innovator. My creed and religion that I worship Allāh with is the methodology of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah which the leaders of the Muslims were upon, like the four Imāms and those who follow in their way until the day of judgement.

Likewise, I have clarified to the people (the importance of having) sincerity towards the religion for the sake of Allāh, and I have forbade them from calling upon the dead or the living and associating them as partners with Allāh in acts of worship the likes of slaughtering (sacrificial animals), making a vow, having reliance and trust, prostrating and other than this from the rights of Allāh that no angel or messenger has any right to be associated in with Allāh. This is what all the messengers—from the first of them to the last of them—have been calling to, and this is what Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah are upon.

N. American Daʿwah Flyer Drive

ISIS jihādpathofsatan

A cooperative project of Salafī Publications (salafipublications.com) Masjid al-Sunnah al-Nabawiyyah (gtownmasjid.com) and TROID (troid.ca)

Help Us Print: N. American Flyer Drive

We have gotten together this blessed month of Ramaḍān to initiate an important project to disseminate the catalogue of Salafī Publications pamphlets in N. America. Our noble and generous brothers at Salafī Publications have granted us access to their array of daʿwah flyers, of which we hope to customise for Canada and the United States.

We wish to print 16 pamphlets, 10,000 of each, customised for Canada and the United States. That’s 140,000 flyers!! There will be two versions, one for TROID (Canada) and one for Germantown Masjid (USA). The flyers are full-colour, trifold and will have personalised contact info for Canada and the US. They will be distributed in Canada by TROID (Toronto) and in the US by Germantown Masjid (Philadelphia).

Benefit: A Warning against Shaving the Beard

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn Bāz (raḥimuhullāh) said: As for the beard, it is impermissible to shave it or take anything from it at any given time; rather it is an obligation to let it grow due to that which has been affirmed in the Ṣaḥīḥayn (Bukhārī and Muslim) on the authority of Ibn ʿUmar (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Oppose the polytheists, lengthen the beard and clip the moustaches.

Likewise, Imām Muslim collected in his Ṣahīh, on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (raḍi Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) who said, the prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said:

Trim the moustaches and grow the beards, oppose the Fire-Worshipers (Majūs).

This calamity has become greater in this time of ours due to many of the people opposing this Sunnah and waging war against (growing) the beards, and them being pleased with looking like women and disbelievers (by not growing their beards), nevertheless, even those who associate themselves with knowledge and educating [fall into this calamity of trimming the beard]. Verily to Allāh we belong and to Him we shall return. We ask Allāh to guide us and guide all of the Muslims to accept the Sunnah, adhere to it and call towards it, even if most of the people turn away from it. Allāh (alone) is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs, there is no might nor power except with Allāh the Most High and Exalted.

Benefit: Who Is Jibrāʾīl?

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Q: Who is Jibrāʾīl (Gabriel)?

Shaykh Fawzān: Do you not know who Jibrāʾīl (Gabriel) is? Jibrāʾīl (Gabriel) is the best of the angels, the trustworthy one who was entrusted by Allāh with the revelation.

نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوحُ الْأَمِينُ
Which the trustworthy Ruḥ [Jibrāʾīl (Gabriel)] has brought down
[Sūrah al-Shuʿarāʾ, 26:193]

This means that the Qurʾān was sent down by the trustworthy spirit, who is Jibrāʾīl (Gabriel) peace be upon him.

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ
Upon your heart (O Muḥammad)
[Sūrah al-Shuʿarāʾ, 26:194]

Meaning upon the heart of the Messenger—peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him—so he is the trustworthy spirit—peace be upon him—and the chief of angels.
